Born in 2009 in Italy, developed by an artist named Sergio and a nutritionist named Sabrina, the Run 5.30 concept arrived! Thirteen years later, over 200,000 people have taken part in a 5.30 event across Italy, the UK and USA.
Jo Event Solutions was approached in 2017 to assist in bringing the event idea to a new city in the UK, with Jo Osborne suggesting her home town of Brighton. The event grew with huge success until Brexit & Covid threw challenges in its path in 2020. The event was a huge success with it appealing to both runners and walkers with its unique concept; a 5km distance completed at 5:30am on a Friday morning, with a medal and breakfast at the end. The event took place in the stunning streets of Brighton, before the city woke up. Jo Osborne worked as Events Manager, contracted to work on Sponsorship, Route Planning, Council Liaison, Logistics, Marketing and Event Management/Delivery on the day. Jo hopes to bring the event back to the city soon.
