Jo was asked to develop and facilitate an independent table top exercise to test the plans of the event organisers and the emergency services for the Wildlife Music Festival held at Brighton City Airport in 2016. Using her knowledge of event planning she reviewed the plans that had been approved by the Safety Advisory Group and put together realistic exercises to test these plans. In doing this she identified and included the change in legislation under the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016 that would be in force at the time of the festival. She effectively delivered and facilitated the exercise to participants from the event organisers and security, emergency services and local authorities.Jim Bartlett, Sussex Police Silver Commander
Jo stepped in as Production Manager on the 2016 Ikano Bank Robin Hood Marathon & Half Marathon in Nottingham. With only six weeks to go before the event, she did an amazing job. The start/finish lines and race village all looked great and everything went according to plan. Jo made a couple of amendments to the site plan which worked well, and as Race Director I am excited to see what she has in store for the event race village in 2017. I am very happy to have Jo Event Solutions as part of our Events Team.Judith Manson, Race Director, Sweatshop Events - Reading Half Marathon & Nottingham Marathon/Half Marathon
We hired Jo to take our signature 8K run to the next level by adding value and numbers and she outstripped even our most optimistic forecasts. A required rise of 10% in entries became 41% with the race sold out for the first time in its history. Calm, organised, focussed and a pleasure to work with. It was a leap of faith to trust our event to an outside organiser, but Jo delivered our event above and beyond expectations.

Grounded Events worked with Jo Osborne from the inaugural Brighton Marathon in 2010 through to 2014 when she left Brighton & Hove City Council. Jo's open mindedness and organised approach to the new major event in the city in 2010 allowed it to be a huge success without any major obstacles from a local government point of view, and her attitude and passion for outdoor events meant growing the marathon, tweaking the route and adding a 10k event to the day was made as easy as possible, with Jo supporting us through negotiations with other local authority departments in the city. We would highly recommend Jo as a person to approach for advice and assistance in turning an event idea into something real and successful.Tom Naylor, Managing Director - The Grounded Events Company Ltd
Referring to the organisation of the memorial service in memory of the Shoreham Airshow disaster victims, November 2015 - If I could single out one person for praise it would be Jo Osborne, the Events & Tourism Manager for Adur & Worthing Councils, who worked tirelessly to make sure everything went just right. Every detail was considered.MP Tim Loughton, MP
I’ve worked with Jo on multiple events in her capacity as Assistant Events Manager for Brighton & Hove City Council and also Events & Tourism Manager for Adur & Worthing Councils.
I’ve always found Jo to be professional, positive, dedicated and a calm authority with a wealth of sound knowledge, experience and contacts.
Jo has demonstrated on numerous occasions that she is able to offer constructive advice and guidance either in the course of an event cycle or on occasion in a crisis, and I’m certain that Jo will be able to add value to many events and projects in her new role.
